Best SSAT Instructors in South Africa
It takes a uniquely special person to become a Manhattan Review exam prep instructor. Clearly, we want people who have attained high test scores (generally in the top 1%), but high scores alone are not enough. Some test prep companies hire on this point alone, but at Manhattan Review, we delve much deeper. We strive to know a great deal about a prospective teacher's academic background. Where did she attend university? In what subject did she major? What was her overall GPA? These are only a small number of the questions we ask of potential instructors throughout our comprehensive interview process. Our Cape Town classroom teachers and individual tutors are distinguished graduates of the most highly ranked prestigious universities in the English-speaking world, and they possess subject-matter expertise in many various academic disciplines. We also greatly take into consideration former teaching experience, and we only bring on people who have meaningful prior teaching resumes. Finally, we choose instructors with personalities and outside interests that make them well suited for test prep instruction, particularly in the areas of classroom presence and approachability. Furthermore, all new hires are thoroughly trained in Manhattan Review's particular methods and materials. Our highly selective hiring process develops test prep educators of rare ability to meet and exceed the requirements of our students in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Pretoria, and all over South Africa.
History of Manhattan Review
The early beginnings of Manhattan Review began in New York City in 1999 by Joern Meissner, who was then a doctoral student and educator at Columbia Business School. Meissner was often praised by students for his practical approaches of complex ideas, and as a consequence, a group believed his style of instruction would be perfect for Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) preparation. At the time, GMAT prep was lackluster left a lot to be desired. In response, Meissner created a series of GMAT lectures that used his trademark method of teaching. Early returns were very positive, and these lectures would become the foundations of Manhattan Review's first test prep classes.
Manhattan Review has since broadened into the globe's leading international test prep company, with offices in cities in Cape Town and around the world providing services for all of the major standardized university admission tests. Our company has aided thousands of students get ready for acceptance to the universities of their choice by enhancing their SSAT, SAT, ACT, ISEE, GMAT, GRE, LSAT, TOEFL, and/or IELTS scores. We've also published a number of test prep textbooks, aided business professionals in improving their language skills, and enhanced university applications with our admissions consulting services. At Manhattan Review, we strive to integrate the resources of an international company with the customized service of a local firm, effectively serving the educational needs of Cape Town, Johannesburg, and all of South Africa.
