It is common for students preparing to take the GRE to be completely unaware of the scores that they'll need for acceptance to their chosen graduate programs. At Manhattan Review, we encourage our clients to gather as much information as possible, and we are more than willing to help them do so. For example, the master of financial engineering program at Baruch College (City University of New York) reports average GRE scores for the entire applicant pool and for accepted students. In one recent year, mean GRE scores for the former group were 165 quantitative and 155 verbal, but accepted students received an average of 167 quantitative and 159 verbal. Obviously, students interested in this program should aim to meet or exceed the latter scores. A bit of focused searching on university websites will yield a great deal of useful data, and this is of immense benefit to the GRE preparation process. Knowledge of target scores is vital to success, and Manhattan Review will provide all of the necessary assessment and support.
Manhattan Review's Johannesburg GRE students derive confidence from the fact that our clients have been accepted to graduate programs at many of the most selective post-secondary institutions in the world, including Harvard, Stanford, Johns Hopkins, the London School of Economics, Princeton, Yale, the University of London, and Brown. Our current students are also inspired by the professional success of our past clients, who have been hired by Fortune 500 companies (such as Bank of America, Prudential Financial, Berkshire Hathaway, and Archer Daniels Midland) and Johannesburg firms (including Murray and Roberts Holdings, The Creative Counsel, Combined Motor Holdings, and Tiger Brands). With Manhattan Review's GRE prep courses and private tutoring in Johannesburg, you can start working toward all of your future goals right away.

I was most impressed with how efficient Vince was with everything, he came prepared and he knew what he was talking about. I liked the efficiency. I already came in with a good idea with what I needed to work on and Vince was great in attacking my weaknesses. I cannot think of anything I disliked or that he could improve about his teaching style.

Meet a Johannesburg GRE Tutor: Leslie P.
Leslie P., a native of Freehold, New Jersey, has been a GRE tutor since 2011. She holds a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Virginia and a master of arts in teaching from the University of Kansas. Her teaching experience includes four years as a junior high school science teacher and two years as a special education teacher.
Leslie moved to Johannesburg in 2015, where she currently works for a local textbook publisher in addition to teaching GRE prep for approximately 20 hours per week. Her students often comment on her careful and caring approach to GRE teaching. "Leslie's GRE instruction is detail-oriented, but her sympathetic attitude makes learning this complicated material much easier," said one student. "I commend her without reservation."
